Tell us your
family names. And what does your artist name mean?
Our names are Markus "Roy" Ströbel, Peter Luft, and
Ralf Lindner. "Raver's Nature" means pure fantasy,
freely invented.
Where do you live?
In La Monza !
How long have you planned to
become a techno live act?
We had just planned to become rich and famous.
Before your success as a live
act, what was your profession?
Roy is a graduate manager for the hotel-industry, Peter is a
wholesale trade economist, and Ralf has studied to become an
industrial merchant.
How did you meet, and where?
Roy and Peter are friends for 15 years now, also when playing
tennis. We shared a club in 1989, "Grenzenlos" in the
town of Hof, playing Acid House and Hip Hop, where we met Ralf.
Your role models?
In music there are no models, staging model was Prodigy.
Any gigs you love to remember ?
Those at the "Exit" in Berlin. The Love Nation Party
after the Love Parade. And two of annual Technomania parties in
Munich, when they booked us by the name of "Raver's Nature",
without any single record out. These parties were super, and the
audience was overwhelming.
Which of your gigs made you
break through?
Mayday - The Raving Society, in Berlin.
Tell us about your daily
routine.
Get up at ten. From eleven on we're at our studio. we leave
around nine p.m., watch a little TV a home, read, or play any
video games. Harmless stuff, isn't it ?
How is your audience?
We depend on our audience, to us, the audience is really
important. Our gigs depend on the audience's involvement.
Are there any groupies around, or roadies ?
No groupies, just two sound engineers we employ for our stage show on tour.
When or where do you find your best ideas for
a new track ?
Ideas for new tracks often rise spontaneously, most often at the studio.
Unspectacular, isn't it ?
Your most succesful releases ?
For us, Hands Up Ravers, maybe, though Take Off sold more.
How and where do you spend your leisure time ?
Weekends are booked out, and very little time is left. Once there is some time,
we love to be in Munich, at the "Ultraschall", the "Parkcafé",
or at the "Reitschule".
Your favourite DJ ?
DJ Luke Slater, and of course, "Prodigy" as a live act.
Your all time top five ?
